An Executive Advantage
The Honolulu chapter of Executive Women International recently awarded a total of $8,500 to six outstanding high school juniors as part of the 2011 Executive Women International Scholarship Program (EWISP) awards. Marine Paper Wins Big
Editorial writer Christine Cabalo won on behalf of Hawaii Marine newspaper four awards at the June 25 Hawaii Society of Professional Journalists Awards at the Manoa Grand Ballroom. In addition to the awards, Hawaii Marine was a finalist in the categories of General News/Enterprise Reporting, which included its stories Island Warriors Deploy to Afghanistan and Never Forgotten: 3rd Marine Regiment Pays Tribute to 114 Men. It also was a finalist in the Feature Writing section for the story MCB Hawaii volunteers serve hope, as well as the Community Reporting section for Wheelchair basketball aids in recovery
