KAMP Gets Help From Island Insurance
The Kids At Risk Mentoring Programs (KAMP) Hawaii received a $15,000 donation from Island Insurance Foundation in a presentation ceremony at Puuhale Elementary School.The nonprofit organization works with more than 6,600 students in more than 66 schools to make a difference in improving the attitudes and the learning environments of at-risk-youths in the community.
Shriners Hospital Receives $100,000
A&B Foundation president Meredith Ching presents a check of $100,000 to Stan Berry (far left), Dr. Carl Scheer and Oswald Stender of Shriners Hospital. The grant is to support the a new campaign to build a new hospital for the children of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim, which will cost about $73 million. They have raised about $56 million within the Shriners so far.
