Grandfather Launches Seasoning
Grandfather Launches Seasoning
Joseph Lau, 97, also known as Grandfather, will launch his new Royal Hawaiian Seasoning at this year’s Made in Hawaii Festival. Lau’s trademark seasoning has gained world-wide popularity over the years. In 2007, the state Department of Agriculture took his seasoning to Taiwan where it was chosen out of 180 other products from the Western U.S. to be part of an independent marketing study where it became a hit. Pictured are Lau with Sen. Clayton Hee at his 95th birthday where he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
