Diamond Bakery Donates $1,500
Waikiki Aquarium director Dr. Andrew Rossiter (left) accepted a $1,500 donation recently from Diamond Bakery CEO Brent Kunimoto (center) and marketing manager Maggie Li. It was the bakery’s way of “sharing heartwarming aloha” to support educational programs of Waikiki Aquarium with Hawaii’s schools and public.
Rotary Club of Kapolei Awards $2K
Malia Schwartz (left) and Sonya Mendez (right), directors of the new Rotary Club of Kapolei Charities, and Dan Yoshitake (center), director of admissions for Chaminade University, recently presented the inaugural Chaminade University-Rotary Club of Kapolei Charities Scholarship Award for $2,000 to Kapolei High School student Jordan Ferreira. Ferreira was unable to accept the scholarship in person because of prior commitments.
