Celebrating Splendors Of Ikebana
The Splendors of Ikebana exhibition held last month at Honolulu Hale featured more than 40 arrangements by Hawaii’s top ikebana artists. Michael Pili Pang of the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts recently presented members of Ikebana International Honolulu Chapter 56 with an official proclamation from Mayor Mufi Hannemann, declaring that week as “Splendors of Ikebana Days” in the City and County of Honolulu. Saint Louis School Receives $1,700
Rene Mansho (center) of Schnitzer Steel Hawaii presented a check for $1,700 to Saint Louis School principal Patricia Hamamoto and Saint Louis School’s Great Aloha Run coordinator Karen King (right) at a recent school assembly. Mansho acknowledged the Saint Louis School/Sacred Hearts Academy High School Team that participates yearly in the Great Aloha Run High School Fitness Challenge and for their consistent participation, sportsmanship, and focus on health.
