BOH Charity Walk Raises Funds

Bank of Hawaii hosted its fourth annual Charity Walk recently at Kapiolani Park to support nonprofit organizations that work to protect and nurture Hawaii’s children. More than 1,000 employees and their families participated in the walk, which raised a total of $111,000 in donations for Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, Parents And Children Together and Special Olympics Hawaii. Litchman Family Donates $150,000

The world just got a little closer to understanding and treating neurodegenerative disorders thanks to a $150,000 gift from the Litchman family of Honolulu. The impact of the Litchmans’ generosity is already being felt through their funding of a new research study titled “Changes in Independence of Patients with Alzheimer’s Disease.” Pictured (from left) are Donna Vuchinich, president and CEO of UH Foundation; Claire Litchman; Dr. Christina Bell, assistant professor of geriatric medicine; Dr. Kamal Masaki, acting chairwoman of the Department of Geriatric Medicine; Jerris R.
