Bed and Banquet at Pagoda. If you’re thinking of planning a family reunion, baby shower or any kind of big celebration, you might want to check out some of the offers at the Pagoda.
For large parties (100 person minimum) the hotel is offering the host - or person booking the party - a one-night free stay at the hotel.
“We’re offering kamaaina our great rate on our prime rib and crab leg buffet,” says food and beverage manager Debbie Tuaileva. “And if guests book between now and the end of September, we’re offering a free night’s hotel room.”
Pagoda has long been a favorite spot for celebrations. Sit in one of the floating tearooms and you can watch as hundreds of orange-speckled koi swim underneath the restaurant searching for shade from the heat of the morning sun. About an hour before feeding times, the fish start to gather in one or two spots beneath the restaurant, creating a spectacular vision of shimmering orange and gold.
The Japanese garden adds to the relaxing atmosphere around the restaurant and its tearooms, and a waterfall provides ambient sound to drown out any noise of city traffic. It’s hard to believe, really, that while you’re sitting in
this oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city, you’re just minutes from one of the biggest shopping malls in America.
The evening dinner buffet features prime rib, Alaskan snow crab legs, fish and chicken specialties, yaki soba noodles, and a full salad bar and dessert table.

Dine After Dark at d.k’s
If you’re in the mood for a great steak, but early-bird dining doesn’t appeal, then check out d.k’s Steak House in Waikiki, where there’s a 25 percent off deal for guests dining between 9 and 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.
The restaurant, owned by local chef D.K. Kodama, offers traditional steakhouse ambience, perfectly cooked side dishes and lots of meat - but it brings a couple of things to the table that are entirely different. It is the only restaurant in Hawaii to dry-age steaks (the process tenderizes the meat and draws out more flavor). d.k’s also has one of the best steakhouse wine lists in Honolulu, thanks to master sommelier Chuck Furuya - he finds the wines - and general manager Ivy Nagayama - she’s responsible for encouraging guests to try some of his fabulous finds. Ivy’s taste is impeccable, and if you love hugely fruit-forward, bright, juicy wines, or big bold tanniny reds with your meat, then d.k’s can deliver the perfect glass - Cruvinet poured and served in Riedel crystal.
