Sushi Land Salads Are Special.

Marie Choe, owner of Sushi Land on South King Street,is so dedicated to the concept of fresh vegetables that she chops lettuce every two hours to make sure that none of the Sushi Land salads is allowed to go limp. And she fastidiously chops and shreds all the vegetables for each salad ordered at her tiny sushi/ramen shop.

“We use everything fresh,“she says (including a catch of the day from the Honolulu fish auction), and we make all the salads to order.” It’s probably why the ahi salad is oneof-a-kind and well worth squeezing into the little parking lot next to Baskin-Robbins to try.
