Del.icio.usWith sponsors, volunteers and crowd support founded on its enthusiastic Windward base, the Kailua Racquet Club enjoyed another successful Women’s Night Doubles tournament in mid-November. Matches were held for four straight nights featuring premier talent in the sport. Women athletes came from 10 nations spanning the globe. And the crowds who were there to watch, meanwhile, had plenty of ways to enjoy themselves off the courts as well: tasty cuisine and beverages from the club chef, tennis clinics, parties, prizes and free parking. Though the tennis came first, the event raised funds for the Castle Wellness Center and its fight against breast cancer. Title sponsor was Lanikai Bath and Body.
