Hoping to bring its ambitious wellness center plan closer to reality, Pohai Nani Good Samaritan Retirement Community held its very first benefit golf tourney Aug. 17, drawing a crowd of supporters and duffers to the Olomana Golf Links. The after-party was as much fun as the golf, with Kimo Kahoano emceeing the awards banquet. “This one ran like clockwork,” said Kahoano, who also played in the tournament. “It was a terrific day!” The Society of Seven put on a full show prior to dinner, awards and many, many door prizes. “The level of community participation was amazing,” said executive director Luann Foos. “It’s exciting to see all the support for our vision to build a wellness center for Oahu’s seniors.”
