In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the Hokulani Imaginarium will present the new 3D, full dome show “Origins of Life” starting with showings at 7 and 8 p.m. Friday.
The show tries to give detailed answers to profound questions about the origin of life and human existence. In order to fully understand this complexity of life on Earth, the story starts with the Big Bang followed by topics such as the prebiotic chemistry of the universe, the formation of stars and solars, and the beginning of life on Earth. In addition, the “Origins of Life” deals with mass extinctions and our search for a meaningful afterlife.
Narrator Lord Robert Winston promises the show to be “an adventure through time ... teaching our generation that if there was ever a time that science made its greatest advances, it would be made right now.” Hence, the new show certainly embraces the beauty of life on Earth and gives an informative insight into life science.
Tickets cost $5 for children 12 and under; $6 for UH, military or seniors (65 and up); and $7 general admission. The show also is scheduled for Nov. 18, Dec. 9 and Jan.13.
