* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 7 and 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Hawaii Kai Towne Center; 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Chaminade University; and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at Kaimuki Municipal Parking Lot. Call 845-9966.

* GIFT IDEAS Family and Community Education members present “Christmas Ideas Demonstrations 2010” at 10 a.m. Nov. 16 at Kahala Community Park on Pahoa Avenue. Call 247-0421, ext. 106.

* AFRICAN CULTURE Kaimuki Library presents Badenyaa (African music and dance) at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16, performed by the African Diaspora Dance Theater. Call 733-8422.

* EAST PARADES Help is welcome for the Hawaii Kai Christmas Parade, 10 a.m. Nov. 27 (Walter, 395-3384) and the Kaimuki Christmas Parade, 6 p.m. Dec. 2 (Daniel, 739-5272).

* TODDLER TIME Kahala Mall hosts Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. each Wednesday at center court. Call 732-7736.

* COLLECTION DRIVE The Kaimuki location of Hawaii Self Storage (2909 Waialae Ave.) welcome donations for Ho’omalu O Na Kamali’i, a children’s receiving home on the Leeward Coast. Items needed are new clothing, blankets, towels, sports equipment, shoes, slippers, toys, school supplies, backpacks and arts and crafts. Call 521-9531, ext 224.

* TAHITIAN DANCE Tunui’s Royal Polynesian Keiki Tahitian Dance classes are held Saturday mornings at Kahala Elementary School for beginning and intermediate students. Call Nalani at 277-2205.

* SENIORS The Koko Head Seniors meet for a program or activity at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at Kuapa Isle Clubhouse at Hawaii Kai Drive and Opihikao Way. Call Steve at 395-3096.

* MARKETS East Oahu has seven farmers markets, and counting: Kaiser High PTSA sponsors one from 4 to 7 p.m. each Tuesday on campus (783-2416); the city’s People’s Open Market is open from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Wednesdays at Palolo Valley District Park and 1 to 2 p.m. Saturdays at Hawaii Kai Park-n-Ride (522-7088). Markets also open every Saturday are at Kapiolani Community College from 7:30 to 11 a.m. (848-2074); Hawaii Kai from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kaiser High (394-1200); and Mahiku markets from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kalani High School and 3 to 7 p.m. at Koko Head Elementary School (225-4002).

* AIKIDO The Hawaii Kai Aikido Association offers classes at 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and 2 p.m. Saturday at Koko Head District Park. Call 722-8769.
