* JOY LUCK Diamond Head Theatre presents Joy Luck Club, on stage Jan. 29-Feb. 14. The curtain goes up at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays, with 3 p.m. shows Feb. 6 and 13. For tickets, call 733-0274.
* MAUNALUA MONDAY Malama Maunalua presents Maunalua Monday at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 1 and 15 at the group’s community house, 4211 Waialae Ave., in partnership with Whole Foods Market. The public is welcome to the free “talk story,” which is held on the first and third Mondays to raise awareness about the bay and water quality issues. Call 738-0820.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at Hawaii Kai Towne Center; 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Kaiser High School library; 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at Kaimuki High School; and 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at Kahala Mall near Macy’s Men’s Store. * DANCE CLASSES Frank Sierra and Lani Sierra teach weekly ballroom dance classes for beginners via Community School for Adults starting at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 (Mondays) at Aliiolani Elementary School, Feb. 10 (Wednesdays) at Kaiser High School and Feb. 11 (Thursdays) at Aliiolani. Fee is $40 for 10 weeks. His Dance Hawaii Kai classes are ongoing at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Koko Head Elementary School.
