* KEIKI ART My First Art Class presents free preview lessons at 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. Sept 2 and 22 at Holy Nativity Church. For details on the course for very young children, call 261-6169.

* HANAUMA TALKS Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve hosts free lectures and films on “The Coastal Craze” at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 3 and each Thursday this month in the education center. Call 397-5840.

* NEIGHBORS Neighborhood boards meet at 7 p.m. on the following dates: Kuliouou-Kalani Iki Sept. 3 at Aina Haina Library, Palolo Sept. 9 at Palolo Elementary School cafeteria, Diamond Head-Kapahulu-St. Louis Heights Sept. 10 at Ala Wai Clubhouse, Kaimuki (7:15) Sept. 16 at Liliuokalani Elementary School,Waialae-Kahala Sept. 17 at Wesley United Methodist Church and Hawaii Kai Sept. 29 at Hahaione Elementary School cafeteria. * DANCE CONCERT Central YMCA presents its summer concert at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 4 and 5 at Mamiya Theatre, featuring jazz and hip hop choreography to various music styles with performers of all ages. Tickets cost $15. Call 941-3344.

* BOOKZILLA Friends of Kaimuki Library have a Bookzilla book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 5 in the library parking lot; books are $1 each plus CDs, DVDs, videos and more. Fun Fun the Clown, face painting and balloon art also are planned. Call 733-8422.

* LIBRARY CLOSURES Area public libraries are closed Sept.5-7 for Labor Day weekend. Public schools are closed Sept. 7.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 6 and 3 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at Hawaii Kai Towne Center; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 16 at Chaminade University’s Ching conference Center; 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 27 at Kahala Mall by Macy’s men’s department; 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at KCC (behind Ohia building cafeteria); and 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at Hawaii Kai Towne Center. * FREE YOGA Bikram Yoga Hawaii Kai, Diamond Head Yoga, Silent Dance Center and Temple Yoga in Palolo all offer a free day of yoga on Labor Day, Sept. 7. Call 946-7220.
