Below are highlights of what’s happening in the East Oahu community in the next few weeks.
* SAT PREP The Verbal & Math Enrichment Program offers a free SAT-Prep workshop for students and parents at 6:30 p.m. May 1 in the Kaiser High School library. Call 261-6666.
* REAL ESTATE Real estate expert Lon Hooker gives a free lecture on “Finding Outstanding Real Estate Investment Opportunities in the U.S.” from 6:30 to 9 p.m. May 1 in Hawaii Kai. For location and seating, call 748-0999.
* BLOOD The Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 1 at St. Louis School; from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7 in the Kaimuki High School Aloha Room; from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 7 at Sacred Hearts Academy; from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8 in the Kaimuki Municipal Parking Lot; from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 13 at Hawaii Kai Towne Center; and from 7 to 11 a.m. May 27 at Kahala Mall near Macy’s men’s department. * WINE, CHEESE Accents Gallery hosts Wine, Cheese and Chocolate from 5 to 7 p.m. May 2 at 3520 Waialae Ave. Guests can sip and nibble while viewing the gallery’s collection of stained glass, jewelry and stemware.
