Kailua attorney Colin Kippen has been hired to lead the National Indian Education Association - the largest of its kind in the U.S. Colin was previously executive director of the Native Hawaiian Education Council, but has extensive experience advocating for American Indians and Alaska Natives as well as Hawaiians. He also recently joined President Barack Obama‘s President’s Commission on Scholars.
His new executive director job begins in August in Washington, D.C. ... Rev. Danette Kong is the new chaplain at Pohai Nani, where she brings many talents and passions, including dancing in Master’s Touch Hula Ministry with local Christian musicians Randy and Gay Hongo ...
