Valerie Baldovi of Kaneohe was on hand with family March 8 on Maui for a special reception and release of the 142-page memoir by her late husband, Louis, Holoholo to Wen I Wuz: Kolohe Days in Haiku, Maui 1930s to 1950s. Proceeds from sales ($20) go to the Haiku Living Legacy Project. After Louis’ death from cancer in 2006, Valerie helped to edit and complete her husband’s project for the cause.
