A cocktail waitress once spilled a drink on him and was distraught over the thought of getting fired for the accident because she was so deeply in debt. He felt bad that she took the incident so seriously that he paid off her $180,000 mortgage!

SIR ELTON John and long-time partner David Furnish tied the knot in a civil union ceremony last week. In England it’s customary for the bride of a knight of the realm to take the title “Lady” - seems the rule will not apply for the same-same kine. So Lady David is about as likely to happen as Catherine Zeta-Jones as a showgirl or me inviting you to share a bottle of Nebuchadnezzar with me (well, maybe if I won Megabucks).
