THE RADIO version of Kimo’s Vegas moves to KKEA 1420AM Thursday, May 5, at 9 a.m. (We’ll replay the show for you at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.) Our guests will be the Bellagio’s horticulturist Audra Danzak — she designs the display at the Conservatory — and the guy who runs the new MGM Grand Sports Book, Lamarr Mitchell (and his picks to win the next World Series and Super Bowl).

SPEAKING OF sports books, this year the total amount wagered in Nevada casinos on the Super Bowl was $90.7 million. The casinos reported a 24 percent increase in profits over last year … and dropped $15.4 million to the bottom line!

WHAT’S IT feel like to have a “Golden Arm” (someone who holds the dice at the crap table for an hour or more)? Ask Arthur Hamabata or Pesi Silva of Honolulu, or Shannon Cortez of Kahului, or Eric Hironaga — they’ve all joined the exclusive club at the Cal this year. (Eh, where were these guys when I was in Vegas?)

DID YOU know that every April the California brings back the Golden Arms for a tournament of Champions? The undisputed monster of all rolls still belongs to the late Stanley Fujitake. The Honolulu resident held the dice for three hours and six minutes (rumor has it that the table paid out millions). The probability of this happening is 1 in 664 billion!

THE WYNN Las Vegas opened Thursday and it’s sold out through November. Danny Ching from Non-Stop Travel suggests you stay at The New Frontier (one of their hotels) and use the cash you save on the room to play the tables. Opened in 1942, the Frontier is the oldest continuously operating property on the Strip … my great, great grandfather Confucius Akane used to stay there.

HOOTERS GIRLS (and a certain radio guy) now have a home in Las Vegas: the San Remo will be renovated and reopened as the first Owls casino.

MORE SHOWS the stars go to: Ultimate Fighting champion Randy Couture was at Blue Man Group. Tony Braxton did Zumanity. Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Babyface and Clive Davis caught Barry Manilow.
