WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Players’ Edge!
The Rolling Stones
HANGING with the Boyds ... Bill Boyd Jr. and Marianne Boyd Johnson, the Boyd in Boydgaming (the guys who own Vacations Hawaii, The Cal, Fremont, Main Street Station, Stardust and Sam’s Town) hung out with about 1,000 of their close friends at their annual Mahalo party at the Sheraton last Tuesday. In the crowd: UH basketball Coach Riley Wallace, Dave Chun from Honolulu Ford and Cox Radio Hawaii marketing director Scott Mackenzie.
IN THE stores this week: Billy Joel’s new 5 CD boxed set called My Lives, and he’ll be livin’ it up live at the MGM
Garden Arena April 8. The Rolling Stones “A Bigger Bang Tour” is back at the MGM Grand March 4. Many a rock star has requested a stay at the new MGM Grand Mansion. But the requirement for admission to this private oasis in the desert is not fame and fortune, but how much you’re willing to play at the tables. This may come as a surprise, but most rockers don’t gamble.
CHAR SIU BAO for everyone ... Gary Yoshinaga of Mililani won $5,000 on the 50 cent 10x’s pay at the Main Street Station. Rodney Leong of Honolulu brought home $5,000 from the Cal’s famous progressive Video Poker machines. Kayla Higa of Mililani and James Fukuda of Honolulu each won $4,000 from the Cal’s loose VP machines as well.
AND CONGRATS to Georgine Griffin of Ewa Beach - she won a World Poker Tour Series III, DVD boxed set ... enter to win online at www.kimosvegas.com
