The dynamic duo is set to host the 27th annual AVN Awards Jan. 9 at The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort (thus explaining all the scantily clad folks in the lobby). Unlike the Academy or Grammy Awards, fans can purchase tickets to the infamous ceremonies for $300.
OPENING THIS WEEK in the Imperial Palace ... Hash House A Go Go’s second Vegas location. The eatery is known for its fun, quirky décor, unique menu and huge (Fort Street Café kine) portions.
AMERICAN IDOL‘S out-spoken judge Simon Cowell is bringing his hit European show X Factor to Las Vegas. Details on the papa of America’s most-watched TV show are still thin, but rumors are that the show will feature singers from all over the world, have a permanent home at Caesars and debut this fall on Fox.
ONE OF THE best holiday displays in Vegas is the annual Gingerbread Village that features 20 different properties and a giant working carousel made entirely of sugar and chocolate. Check out the free display that took more than 500 hours to make and two days to build in the lobby of the Four Seasons.

HI-ROLLIN’ EXNBA’ER Antoine Walker took out markers (Vegas lingo for a 30-day float on a personal check) at Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort totaling more than $900,000. To avoid trial and felony criminal charges, the All-Star has agreed to a repayment plan of $13,000 per month.
SEVEN OUT ... The first casino in Vegas to have carpet on the floor, Binion’s Gambling Hall, is closing its hotel, KENO room and coffee shop - also gone are about 100 jobs. Folks holding a reservation after Dec. 14 are being offered rooms at the Four Queens.
VEGAS-OPOLY ... Harrah’s Entertainment has been buying Planet Hollywood’s defaulted debt in a plan to eventually own and manage the distressed casino.
