BACK IN THE DAY ... We used to drop coins into the slot machine, and when you won, the machine reciprocated by dropping coins back at you. Eight years after the first coinless casino hit Vegas, Resorts Atlantic City has installed eight coin-in coin-out machines to stimulate business. So far response has been overwhelmingly positive. You don’t have to go that far to return to your roots: The Cal still has many coin-only video poker machines in service.
THAT’LL BE $200 PLUS TAX. This session, the Nevada Legislature votes on a bill to add a $5 tax on sex. If passed, the “sin tax” would affect the state’s 25 legal brothels and all illegal prostitution ... Good luck collecting on the latter.
