But the biggest egos in the music biz don’t come close to what Fry’s Electronics exec Omar Siddiqui, who was busted for wire fraud and money laundering, demanded. For Mr. S. to visit your Las Vegas casino, you had to send a private plane, have Fiji water (grouped in bottles of three), golden raisins and warmed mixed nuts, chilled Dom Perignon Rose champagne and Kurosawa Sake, Glitterati Mentissimo peppermints, Aramis cologne, a badger-hair shaving brush, Nioxin shampoo for “fine and thinning hair,” lint-free towels ... about seven pages of demands in all.
THE NEVADA GAMING Control Board reports that income for the state’s 266 major hotel-casinos was down almost 69 percent (ouch) last year. Slot machines on the Strip grossed $3.3 billion (they didn’t get the nickname “one-armed bandits” by accident), and we lost $2.6 billion on the tables ... itai!
CRIS ANGEL and the Cirque du Soleil team are tweakin’ Believe ... Krater 96 local sales manager Scott Mackenzie paid cash to see the Luxor show a few weeks ago and loved it ... fanboy.

SEVEN OUT ... After 49 years at the Tropicana, the show that made the “Las Vegas showgirl” famous, Les Folies Bergere, is closing March 28. Barbara Walters’ father Lou was the hotel’s entertainment director when he imported the show from Paris in 1959. Many believe that the longest-running show on the Strip is going the way of the Flintstones because it’s cheaper for the casino to “four wall” the showroom - rent the room instead of being responsible for the full production. When it closes, the only full-scale showgirl revue on the Strip will be Bally’s Jubilee!
ARTHUR ROMERO put $20 into the Barrett-Jackson slot machine at the Mandalay Bay and five spins later he was driving home a Limited Edition 2008 Shelby GT, No. 8 of 100.
ALMOST AS GOOD as being there ... The Las Vegas Hilton showed President Barack Obama’s inauguration on its 18-by-32-inch HDTV in the Hilton Theater - the same room where Elvis performed.

THE OBAMA WAGON ... The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino hosted “White House Wednesday,” where everyone was invited to toast the new beginning, play BJ with “Obama’s Mamas” (dealers and dancers wearing red, white and blue), drink red and blue cocktails and try Obamaritas, Obamatinis and Lame Duck Specials.
HE’S BAAACK ... “Hit Man” and frequent Isle visitor David Foster returns to the Mandalay Bay Events Center May 9. Singing the songs that won him 15 Grammys will be Philip Bailey (Earth, Wind & Fire), Brian McKnight, Peter Cincotti and Philippine singing sensation Charice.
AND THE WINNER IS ... According to the sports books in Las Vegas, the score will be Pittsburgh, 27, Arizona, 20 and the over-under is 47. If you bet on the Super Bowl, you’re not alone - it’s the single biggest betting day of the year, according to RJ Bell of Pregame.com. More than $10 billion is expected to be bet worldwide by more than 200 million people.
