GET WELL SOON ... Toni Braxton is on sick leave from her show at the Flamingo until May 6. After a recent hospitalization, the singer is scheduled for additional testing, and is following doctor’s orders and getting plenty of rest.

COMBAT PAY for columnist Norm Clark? He said that Criss Angel freaked out when his girlfriend, Miss Nevada USA Veronica Grabowski, failed to make it to the pageant finals. And he threatened to take out the writer’s eye after he published a comment Angel made that freaked one of the Miss USA judges.

HAIL CAESAR! The Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. board of directors has approved the company’s name change to Caesars Entertainment Corporation. According to Gary Loveman, chairman, president and CEO, “Adoption of the name Caesars Entertainment Corporation will provide our company with greater prestige and help attract strategic business partners as we pursue expansion opportunities in new jurisdictions. The change also reflects our evolution into a full-service entertainment company that offers a rich range of gaming and non-gaming amenities to our guests.”

UNCLE MONEYBAGS is celebrating his 10th anniversary in the casinos ... WMS Gaming licensed Monopoly from Hasbro in 1997 and has released almost three dozen different slot machines since. Second in popularity only to the “Wheel of Fortune"theme, we’ll be seeing both games in the casinos for years to come.

CULTURE GETS HIT in Vegas… the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum at the Venetian is closing May 11 after almost seven years. This leaves the Bellagio’s Gallery of Fine Art the only museum on the Strip.

The dynamic duo are partners in Tryst (at the Wynn LV) and promise that this will be the biggest and best nightlife entertainment the world has ever seen with more excess than ever before, including its own lagoon pool.

A FEW YEARS AGO, the casinos discovered that there was gold in their pools and transformed theses areas into ultra lounges and hosted pool parties to rival the hottest clubs in town. As the weather heats up, so does the competition for your club-going cash. For the second year in a row, TAO Nightclub expands into “TAO Beach” at the Venetian’s pool and, at the MGM Grand, look for “Wet Republic,” a new ultra pool concept. If it’s Euro bathing you like, check out the Flamingo’s “Go Pool,” Caesars’ “Temple Pool,” “Bare” at the Mirage or the pool at the Stratosphere. At the trendy Palms, the pool party is called “Ditch Fridays,” and at The Hard Rock, it’s time for “Rehab.”
