WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!
WELL, HE’S DONE IT twice before, and she’s working on three being the charm ... Holly Madison says she wants to be married and have Hugh Hefner’s baby. The Playboy magnate, who celebrated his 82nd birthday last week at the Palms, is entertaining the idea (although he admits he’s happiest when he’s not married). If he says “I do,” there’ll be a long line for Hef’s other girls, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.
HARRAH’S IS making some changes to its players club that affects its biggest players. The 7 Star lounges have been closed at Caesars Palace and the ones at other properties may be facing a similar fate. If you’re only a Gold Card holder (like me), it takes $55,000 of play through the slots in one year to be granted 7 Star status.
MORE VICTIMS of the sub-prime/credit crisis/slowing economy ... Elad Group, the folks who planned to build a sister property to their hotel in New
York called the Plaza (at the old Frontier lot across from the Wynn), has announced that its $6 billion project is officially on hold.
AND DONALD TRUMP says he has not decided on a start date for the second Trump Tower ...
IN TOWN for the grand opening of his first tower, the Donald announced his new reality show is headed for MTV. It’s about a bunch of bad girls who get sent to a private boarding school to learn how to be more ladylike. High on his list to star in the first show is Elliot Spitzer’s high-priced bad girl Ashley Alexander Dupre ... maybe this season’s theme song should be “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves.”

WHY WE NEVER win at Roulette ... Maybe it’s because if you add all the numbers on the wheel, the total is 666 ...
SMART BUGGAHS ... more than 3,000 years ago KENO was called the Chinese lottery. Back in the day, they used it to fund the Great Wall of China ... today it helped build a Mecca in the desert.
SPOCK YOU ... in town for the Miss USA pageant, Miss Hawaii USA 2008 Jonelle Layfield and the 50 other misses posed for pictures at the pool in the morning, shopped at the Miracle Mile in the afternoon and ended the day checking out the Light of Dreams, Le Reve and Tryst as the personal guests of Steve Wynn and the Wynn Las Vegas.
NOW PLAYING at the Fremont Street Experience, “A Tribute to Queen” on the 550,000-watt sound system and 12.5-million light Viva Vision canopy. In addition to the animated display overhead, look for the tribute band “Queen Nation” on the 3rd Street stage all week long.
IN CONCERT, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé and Josh Groban pay homage to the music of David Foster at the Mandalay Bay Events Center May 25. With 14 Grammies, the frequent Isle visitor has written and produced songs for Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Madonna, Whitney Houston and Chaka Khan. If you miss this one-of-a-kind concert, it’ll be on Hawaii Public Television (PBS) in December.
