THE BELLAGIO’S Conservatory & Botanical Gardens has its new winter exhibit on display through Jan. 8. Between songs she spoke candidly and emotionally to the sold-out audience throughout the evening. Since she started A New Day, the show has hosted more than 3,000,000 people, and with a gross of $400 million, it’s one of the biggest ever in entertainment history. If you missed it, look for the DVD collection called, Celine Dion - A New Day: Live in Las Vegas. It’ll feature the entire 90-minute show and more than three hours of bonus material.
“IT’S INCREDIBLE that this happened three days before we’re leaving. We’ve been here five years,” said Celine’s husband manager Rene Angelil after winning $1.6 million in a Caesars’ poker tournament.
THE WORLD SERIES of Poker has renamed the $50,000 buy-in HORSE World Championship trophy the Chip Reese Trophy to honor one of their own. Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the World Series of Poker, said,“A true gentleman and the youngest person admitted to the Poker Hall of Fame, Chip Reese, was recognized by his peers as the most successful player in the biggest mixed-cash games of all time, and he was also a great tournament player with three WSOP bracelets.”
