KEVIN SPACEY and Laurence Fishburne spotted at the Planet Hollywood shooting the new movie 21, loosely based on the non-fiction book Bringing Down the House about the famous M.I.T. card-counting team. Masi Oka (Heroes) and Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns) are also in the film.

TELLER, whose stage persona is the non-verbal half of Penn & Teller, spoke about his recent ZeroG experience (the latest Vegas thrill ride). First you get to feel Martian gravity (1/3) than Lunar gravity (1/6) and finally zero gravity flight.

Teller said, “The sensation is rather sexy, because it is so tactile and such a strange sense of difference from the way you usually feel your own body. So, if you don’t throw a lot of effort into it, but just kind of let it play on you, it has this very sort of sexy quality.”

Cambridge professor and world-renowned physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking (who is severely disabled by Lou Gehrig’s disease) said, “I recommend the experience to everyone, and I hope that many will follow me and experience weight-lessness.” Aride on Zero Gravity will set you back $3,750 and can be bought at any Sharper Image.

$135,000 for a porcelain sculpture ... check it out for yourself. The 5-foot piece called the Queen of the Nile is on a seven-city tour (and I thought only rock stars went on tour). The piece will be on display at Lladró boutique inside The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian starting May 8.

IN THE MID-‘70s, Las Vegas had 35,000 rooms; by the early ‘90s, that number grew to 106,000 and gave the city that never sleeps more rooms than any other U.S. city. The current room count is 151,000 and growing almost daily. Fifteen of the 20 largest resorts in the world are on the famous Strip. The 3,200-suite Venetian is adding a second tower, bringing its total to 7,000. Echelon Place (the second most expensive development in history) will have 5,000 rooms. The MGM City Center will have 6,700 rooms and condos. Then there’s the 3,900-room Fountainbleau and the 3,000-room Cosmopolitan. Now that we’re guaranteed to have a roof over our heads, maybe they can fix the traffic on the Strip.
