WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!
ERIC “SLOW HAND” Clapton returns to the U.S. Saturday, March 10 at the MGM Grand Arena with Robert Cray opening. The show will highlight Clapton classics, including Layla, I Shot The Sheriff, Cocaine and many more.
AND WITH more than 200 million units sold ... one of the biggest selling recording artists of all time, Rod Stewart, rocks the MGM Grand Garden Arena a week later, and just a few weeks after his 62nd birthday, featuring tunes from his latest CD, Still The Same... Great Rock Classics of Our Time - and for the first time in his three-decade-plus career, he’ll perform in the round.
JUST RELEASED visitor count for October: Almost 3.4 million people visited Las Vegas and Southern Nevada (compared to the 569,000 people who visited Hawaii in the same month). Las Vegas also gets about 8,000 new residents every month.

NIGHTCLUB & BAR Magazine has released its 2007 Editors Choice Top 100 Night Clubs and Bars. Fourteen of Sin City’s finest make the grade, including Body English (Hard Rock Hotel), Cherry (Red Rock Casino, Resort, Spa), ghostbar (Palms Resort), JET Nightclub (The Mirage), Kahunaville (Treasure Island) and The Playboy Club (Palms Resort). The list rates nightclubs and lounges all over the country on criteria such as popularity, originality, impact on the local and national scene, and creativity.
THE LUXOR goes back in time for the theme of its latest ultra-lounge ... According to insiders, it’s totally unique and outrageously different designed after an 18th century bordello and reminiscent of the old Caesars Palace Bacchanal Room.
THINK THE Caesars Palace Bacchanal Room was a good idea back in the day and an even better idea now? You’re not alone ... execs are currently planning a new modern-day version. Bet you the new togas will be a lot more revealing than the old ones.
EVER WONDER how they get all that water in Las Vegas? With the current supply dwindling, they’re planning to build a new pipeline, with about 300 miles of it buried in trenches ... over mountains, in the valleys and across the desert. Like the proposed Hawaii rail system, no one is certain what the pipeline will cost. Some experts say $1 billion, others $2 billion and some even guesstimate $3 billion.
THE STARDUST will soon be joining its cousins The Desert Inn, Landmark, The Dunes and Hacienda in casino heaven. Back in ‘68, the tallest sign in all the world belonged to the legendary Stardust.
