With 8,773 entrants in this year’s WSOP (the majority recreational or amateur players), poker players are wondering if “a professional poker player ever win another WSOP”? THE HAWAII class of ‘74 is having its 50th Birthday Bash at the Gold Coast Oct. 26. To commemorate the good time, they are having a poker tour-ney that’s only open to the first 50 who graduated from high school in Hawaii in 1974. The winner gets 50 percent of all the entries (I get it 50th State, 50th Birthday, 50 Players age 50 ... clever dees guys). HOW MUCH do dealers get in tokes (that’s what they call a tip)? At Sam’s Town & Boulder Station, dealers have been getting close to $90 a day. At the Golden Nugget about a $145 a day, and at the Wynn dealers have had $900 days… nice work if you can get it!

REMEMBER the $1 million in cash they had on display in front of Binions? You can find a similar display at Paris ... but hold onto your safe-cracking tools. Soon the Mandalay Bay will put on display $1 billion!

SPOTTED at McCarran airport: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia, Bernie Mac and Carl Reiner. They’re shooting more scenes for the upcoming Ocean’s 13!

MAGICIANS like to collect things ... The Amazing Jonathan is into cars and antique magic tricks, David Copperfield collects Houdini memorabilia, antique practical jokes (called gags) and illusions ... but the winner of the most unusual collection is Steve Wyrick (soon to have his own theater in the Aladdin Desert Passage) - he collects neon signs! His latest acquisition is from downtown landmark the Lucky Motel.

THE FIRST annual Barrick Burger Eating Contest is happening at the Plaza Sept. 3. The challenge is to eat a one-anda-half-pound burger with bun and a plate full of fries. The winner gets a weekend package at the Plaza and, most importantly, your picture on the wall of fame.
