A NEW table game called Hawaii HI – LO was invented by World Series of Poker Champion Hal Rubin and buddy Rob Varkonyi. Each player gets four cards and the object is to get a LO hand (0- 15 points) or a HI hand (30-44 points). Reminds me of the E.K. Fernandez game where you roll the balls into the slots and add up the points. Beware, the dealer has four cards that affect your hand, so you don’t know how much or if you win until the last card is revealed … and don’t forget to make the Hula bet 17 ways to win up to 10,000 to 1! For now the game is only available in Atlantic City — maybe we can get them to try it at the Cal?
THE BELLAGIO Gallery of Fine Arts new exhibition The Impressionist Landscape from Corot to Van Gogh is happening now … see paintings by Cézanne, Gauguin, Monet and Renoir. It’s like going back in time to the late 1800s.
YOU EVER walk by a $25 machine and try to put a quarter in it? How about dropping a nickel in a $5 machine? Of course, it’s never happened to me (no witnesses anyway), but it can be a little embarrassing (what a low-roller). Slot Candles to the rescue — you know, the light on the top of the machine that flashes when you push the change button. These are color-coded (fairly consistently from casino to casino) the bottom half of a penny machine is white, 2 cent is usually pink, nickels are red (like the chips), quarters are yellow, orange is a half dollar, blue is a buck and purple is $5, (if you’re playing anything larger than $5, please send us a donation).
KEVIN KANESHIRO from Vacations Hawaii reports that a woman from Kapolei won the $2,136,892 jackpot on the Stardust’s quarter Wheel of Fortune slot machine.
“LUKE, this is not your father’s machine”! The new Star Wars slot machine sets the standard for modern slot machines with more features than a TIE Fighter. Visually the machine is stunning and you won’t find better graphics or more entertaining bonus rounds on any other machine. It even pays off more as your bet increases. So get your Sith-sense and may the force be WIN you.
Use your ‘Sith’ sense

IN CASE you’re wondering why it costs a little more to ride a cab in Vegas, fares have increased due to rising fuel costs … so expect to pay a few dollars more.
