Sephora To Open At Pearlridge Center
Sephora, the international retailer of cosmetics, fragrances and skin-care products, is expected to open at Pearlridge Center in November.The store will be located in Uptown, second level, between Cinnamon Girl and Chemistry.
“We are very happy to have Sephora join our merchants in Uptown,” says Fred Paine, general manager for Pearlridge Center. “It will be a great addition, and everyone I talk to is excited about shopping there when it opens this fall.”
This will be Sephora’s second Hawaii location.
Split Obsession Trunk Show, May 12
Split Obsession at Koko Marina Center has scheduled a trunk show for May 12 from noon to 3 p.m. featuring designs by Allison Izu Nagato of Reincarnation Hawaii and Marylea Conrad of Melia Conrad.
Allison’s designs include shirts that are hand-painted or sewn with vintage fabric applique. Melia Conrad’s silk and cotton dresses will have just arrived from Australia with digital printed designs inspired by the plumeria.

Shaesby Scott At Neiman Marcus
Shaesby Scott appearance May 11 and 12 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Designer Jewelry, Level One Meet jewelry designer Shaesby Scott (pictured above) during his first personal appearance in Hawaii. Shaesby is recognized for his sophisticated collections that fuse art with fashion.
He began his career as a sculptor and furniture designer, during which he worked primarily with steel. While living abroad in Rio de Janeiro, Scott discovered his passion for jewelry and embraced the Brazilian custom of adorning the body with art. With a background in metal crafting, jewelry design was a natural progression, permitting him to make his sculptures wearable.

May 12 (10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) Cosmetics, Level One From its celebrated eyelash curler to its unique skincare and color products, Shu Uemura Cosmetics continues to be an innovative leader in the beauty world. Neiman Marcus Honolulu launched the collection in Spring 2006 with Atelier Artist & Education Manager Misumi Kitano, who will make her second Hawaii appearance during an Atelier Artist Event. J.P. McCary, principal artist, will also be present for personal consultations where they will customize looks to fit each person’s lifestyle and beauty needs.
