Sephora Debuts the Scentsa

Sephora introduces the Scentsa Fragrance Finder, a device that takes the guesswork out of finding a new scent or an old favorite, to select stores, including Sephora Ala Moana. The state-of-the-art, custom program developed especially for Sephora stores is the brainchild of Jan Moran, noted fragrance expert and author of the Fabulous Fragrances book series. Utilizing award-winning touch-screen technology that runs at lightning speed, the interactive wall-mounted screen found in the fragrance area is a useful tool for both Sephora’s fragrance experts and customers. With the simple tap of a finger on the screen display, users can easily navigate the program to find detailed information on the latest fragrances, discover fragrances from the same fragrance family, view images, run videos or find thousands of reviews on a time-honored favorite from around the world. Scentsa allows shoppers to search by brand name, fragrance name, fragrances notes and best-sellers.

Nordstrom Exhibit Celebrates Asian Pacific America Heritage

During the month of May, Nordstrom is showcasing a vibrant array of compelling work from nine Asian American artists. These artists are coming together from communities in San Francisco to Taipei City and Austin to Hawaii with one common goal: to celebrate diversity and share their interpretations of the beauty of Asian American culture.

Nordstrom selected this talented group of artists to share their work reflecting Asian Pacific American-inspired themes in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The exhibit will be displayed in the windows of select Nordstrom stores and online at Nordstrom.com Now in its fourth year, the exhibit celebrates both accomplished and up-and-coming Asian American artists. Their award-winning art has appeared in magazines, books, board games, galleries and ad campaigns, and their biographies are as different as their techniques and media.

The exhibit will feature pieces by MalPina Chan, Grace Chen, Jui Ishida, Pearl Ling, Tristan Longstreth, Naoko Morisawa, Sherwin Parayno, Yihsin Wu and Adrienne Yan.
