Sedona Jewelry Trunk Show

Sedona presents a gem and jewelry trunk show and sale March 13 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and March 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sedona store in Ward Centre (ground level, next to Paul Brown Salon and Day Spa).

The trunk show will feature Deidre Berg, a Washington State-based wholesale gem-stone and jewelry dealer as well as a large shipment of new jewelry and stones brought back from the Tucson Gem Show by Sedona’s owner Malia Johnson.

Also, a special shipment of amethyst and citrine geodes, natural crystals, rare mineral specimens and stone carvings for collectors, and handmade jewelry with colored gem-stones set in sterling silver and 14K gold will be offered at dealer-direct prices for this weekend only. There also will be a wide assortment of affordable semi-precious stone and sterling silver jewelry priced below $50 and a number of bargain flats with unusual minerals. Also, 14K gold jewelry by designer Go Jolly will be on sale at 30 percent off.

A portion of the proceeds from the Sedona Gem and Jewelry Show will be donated to The Hawaii Foodbank.

Free Prom Dresses @Bella Boutique

The Bella Project and Cupola Theatre present The Bella Boutique March 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Honolulu Design Center (1250 Kapiolani Blvd.)

At this event, the Bella Project will give away dresses, shoes, jewelry and makeup for prom to Hawaii high school girls. The Bella Project is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to make prom affordable for every high school girl by collecting formal dresses and accessories, and providing them free of charge to those unable to purchase prom attire.

About 200 new or “virtually new” formal dresses have been collected since September 2009, and The Bella Project welcomes any high school girl unable to purchase her own prom attire. No proof of financial need is required, but attendees must provide a valid high school ID or other proof of enrollment in a Hawaii high school.
