Macy’s And The American Heart Association ‘Go Red’
For the second year, Macy’s has teamed up with the American Heart Association to fight heart disease with the “Go Red For Women” campaign. February is Heart Health Month, and since heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, the campaign encourages women to learn how they can reduce their risks for heart disease and stroke. Throughout February, Macy’s will provide free blood pressure screenings. In addition to the screenings and demonstrations, from now through Feb. 14, customers can purchase a plush Love notes Bear for $5.95 with any $35 purchase. One dollar of each sale will go to the American Heart Association. Also available are limited edition “Love” T-shirts for $12 from now through Feb. 14, while supplies last. Four dollars of each purchase will go to the American Heart Association.
Free blood pressure screenings will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Macy’s Kahala Mall with assistance from the Honolulu Fire Department and at Macy’s Pearlridge, and on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Macy’s Windward Mall. Both men and women are encouraged to take advantage of the free blood pressure screening event. For details, call 945-5894.
