Hildgund Jewelry Plays Santa Claus
In celebration of its 136th anniversary in Hawaii, Hildgund Jewelry is giving away nearly $50,000 in merchandise in 136 wrapped gift boxes that will be placed in various public locations across Oahu, Maui and the Big Island throughout December.
In the spirit of the holiday, Hildgund Jewelry also will be leaving 136 meal vouchers from Jack in the Box and Subway at various parks and shelter locations for Hawaii’s homeless. “We’re really excited about celebrating our 136th anniversary and can’t think of a better way to say mahalo to Hawaii for supporting our company for all these years,” says president Bruce Bucky. “When a person finds the gift or voucher, that’s it. There are no strings attached.”
This will be a game of finders-keepers, with jewelry items ranging from $100 to $8,000 in value. New gifts will be hidden daily through the end of December, and can be found within a white wrapped box with a gold bow.
Last week, locations where these “surprise gifts” were left include Roy’s restaurant in Hawaii Kai, the Post Office in Aina Haina, Bubbies Homemade Ice Cream on University Avenue, a dog park in Hawaii Kai and in Safeway on Pali Highway. Founded in 1873, Hildgund Jewelry offers the ultimate in fine custom designs and handcrafted jewelry by Hildgund. Hildgund Jewelry is located at the Kahala Hotel and the J.W. Marriott Ihilani Hotel on Oahu, the Four Seasons Resort on Maui, and Four Seasons Hualalai, Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on the Big Island.
