Fighting Eel Opens New Store
Local designers Rona Bennett and Lan Chung of Fighting Eel have opened a new flagship store at 1133 Bethel St. in Downtown Honolulu.
The fashion gurus also opened a T-shirt store next door called TeeTee Bar offering trendy T-shirts for men, women and children. Business hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. For more information, call 738-9300 (Fighting Eel) or 738-9301 (TeeTee Bar).
Ward Welcomes New Merchants
Ward Centers welcomes four new merchants to its family of more than 135 shops and eateries: The Pet Corner, All About Hawaii, Blazin’ Steaks and Point Break.
The Pet Corner: The Pet Spot at Ward Warehouse is now under new ownership and will be renamed The Pet Corner. The store carries a large selection of pet supplies for dogs, cats, birds, small animals and fish. There also are puppies for sale, all of which come from small, local breeders.
Point Break: Opening Sept. 16 at Ward Centre Streetfront next to Taco Del Mar, Point Break offers custom epoxy surfboards at unbeatable prices from reputable shapers, as well as the latest in surf apparel and accessories for men and women. Brands include Volcom, Quiksilver, Rip Curl, O’Neill, Reef, Fox Riders, Lost, Lucy Love, Havaianas, Melissa and more.
All About Hawaii: Located at Ward Centre near Borders Books & Music, All About Hawaii carries island-inspired apparel for women, including M.Mac and Noe Clothing, which are offered exclusively at the Ward Centre location. The store also sells bags, baby blankets, locally made cookies and salad dressing.
Blazin’ Steaks: This popular local eatery is at Ward Warehouse, Diamond Head Food Court, and offers affordable steak, garlic steak, shrimp, fish and chicken plates, as well as party platters.
