Fashionista’s Market Hosts Closet Swap Aug. 18
Fashionista’s Market presents Closet Swap this Saturday (Aug. 18) at the Japanese Cultural Center (Moiliili Ballroom) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Closet Swap is Hawaii’s very first clothing exchange charity event and benefits the Leeward Domestic Abuse Shelter.
The event brings together fashionable women of all ages and sizes to recycle and refresh their wardrobe. Women bring in gently used or new clothing they no longer want, fit, wear or use. Fashionista’s Market will sort through the clothing and everyone dives in for a fun day of free clothes. All unclaimed items are donated directly to the Leeward Domestic Abuse Shelter.
Tickets for Closet Swap are $25 pre-sale (at www.acteva.com/go/closetswap), $30 at the door (if available). Event admission ticket includes a bento lunch, complimentary makeovers by Flaunt, spa treats by Elements Spa, a T-shirt Recycling 101 craft station by Allison Izu Designs, a cookie decorating station by Cookies By Design, a large scale clothing exchange and a goodie bag.
