Fashionista’s Market Designer Sample Sale
Mark you calendars for the Fashionista’s Market sample sale on Saturday, Feb. 17 and Monday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii (2454 S. Beretania St./across from Star Market).
On sale will be tops and dresses from celebrity favorite — Lotta Stenson. There will also be fashions by Frankie B, Seven For All Mankind, Joe’s Jeans, True Religion, Parasuco, Diane von Furstenberg, Ed Hardy, Theory, Lucky Brand Jeans, BCBG, Free People, Sweetees, House of Dereon and more.
Hosted by the Style Sisters (Emi Hart and Alyssa Fung), Fashionista’s Market is a quarterly shopping event offering women’s contemporary apparel at up to 80 percent off retail. Kiss &Tell Book @ Macy’s
This Valentine season, Macy’s is celebrating the impetuous act of the kiss with its very own custom-published book — Kiss & Tell — featuring the kiss confessions and lip prints of some of today’s hottest celebrities. From Katie Couric to Paris Hilton, this sneak peek at celebrities’ most memorable kisses ranges from adorable to awkward, and from heated to hilarious. Among the celebrities included in the book are stars Jessica Alba, Kelly Ripa, Venus Williams, Pink, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
In addition to the sweet and silly stories of these legendary liplocks, Kiss & Tell invites the reader to record her memorable kiss experiences, including a checklist of all the interesting places she’s shared a kiss.
Available exclusively at Macy’s and on macys.com, the book retails for $14.95 with 10 percent of the book’s proceeds donated to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign, of which Macy’s is a national sponsor.
Free Blood Pressure Screenings
Macy’s is offering free blood pressure screenings, encouraging women to take charge of their heart health, as part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women over the age of 25 both in Hawaii and around the nation. Free blood pressure screenings are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Macy’s Pearlridge, and on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Macy’s Windward Mall.
