Prom Event At Macy’s March 11 and 12
Get everything you need for prom at the Sassy and G Magazine Prom Event at Macy’s Ala Moana on Saturday, March 11 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and at Macy’s Pearlridge on Sunday, March 12 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Prom-goers are invited to view and buy Macy’s latest collection of prom dresses for the upcoming season. There will also be games, music and a fashion presentation by the Sassy Magazine Teen Board. Prom-related vendors (cosmetics, hair, tuxedos and flowers) will also be available to complete your prom experience.
Shoppers are encouraged to bring in their gently worn prom or evening dresses of all sizes for a donation to Project Princess, a collaborative project of Macy’s, the YWCA of Oahu, and Sassy and G Magazine. Shoppers who donate a dress will receive a 20 percent discount on a regular-priced social dress purchase of at least a $78 value.
Through a referral program, donated dresses will be given to high school girls in financial need in selected school districts. The young women will be able to select a dress of their choice, free, at the YWCA on Richards Street between March 24 and 26, by appointment.
The Sassy and G Magazine Prom Event at Macy’s is free and open to the public. For more information, call 945-5894.
